About This Hong Kong Mahjong Learning Site — KX Works

Learn how KX Works connects sourced Hong Kong mahjong guides, worked hand examples, calculators and browser practice, and how to suggest a correction.

About this website

This KX Works website helps you learn Hong Kong mahjong, look up a rule and try it in a hand. Start with the interactive lessons, use the guide library for reference, then check a hand in the calculator or practise against computers.

The articles distinguish named rule references from the house rules used by our browser game. Where a source is cited, follow its link to check the conditions; the same pattern name can score differently at another table.

How the browser game works

The game loads when you choose to start playing. You can read the guides and use the calculators without opening a table.

The browser version is a local, computer-opponent experience. It does not require an account, email address or payment. Game settings and progress belong to the current browser and are not synced to the Android app.

Who makes it

KX Works builds small games and practical web tools. We aim to explain what each product really does, keep rules and examples consistent with the game, and avoid promising features that are not available.

Questions, corrections and accessibility feedback are welcome at me@kxworks.dev.

Follow an example and report a correction

A worked example states the hand, win method and relevant winds or flowers. Load its calculator link to check those conditions together; changing one can change the result. A reference-rule value should not be substituted into a house-rule example without checking the difference.

For a correction, send the page link, chosen rules and complete hand or a source reference. KX Works can use that context to investigate; a different table convention alone does not establish that either calculation is wrong.
