Using the website
These terms apply when you use this KX Works Hong Kong Mahjong website, including its guides, calculators and browser game. The service is provided for learning and ordinary entertainment.
Scores and points are fictional game values. The website does not provide gambling, wagers, cash prizes, deposits, withdrawals or paid entry, and game points have no monetary value.
Your device and local saves
The browser game stores settings and progress on your own device. You are responsible for controlling access to that device and for keeping any backup you need. Clearing browser data, using private browsing or changing devices may remove or hide a save.
Website progress is not an account record and is not synced to the Android app. We cannot restore a local save that never left your device.
Fair and responsible use
You may use the site for personal learning and play. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass technical safeguards, introduce malicious code, overload the site, or use automated access in a way that prevents other visitors from using it.
Rule explanations and calculators are learning aids based on the ruleset shown on each page. Mahjong table rules vary, so confirm the agreed rules before using a result in an organised event or another table.
Content, code and assets
Unless a page says otherwise, the original writing, site code, game artwork, audio and KX Works branding are owned by KX Works or used under a licence. Access to the website gives you permission to view and use the service for personal purposes; it does not transfer ownership of those materials.
You may link to a public page. Republishing substantial content, redistributing game assets or presenting KX Works material as your own requires permission or a licence that already allows it.
Availability, external services and feedback
We may correct rules, examples, compatibility issues or security problems and may change or suspend parts of the service. Browsers, devices and network conditions differ, so uninterrupted availability or preservation of a local save cannot be guaranteed.
Google Play, kxworks.dev and other linked services have their own terms. Questions and feedback may be sent to me@kxworks.dev. If you send a suggestion, you allow KX Works to consider and use it to improve the project; do not send confidential material you do not want reviewed for that purpose.
