  • The example uses two numbered suits and omits the third. This alone gives no house bonus.
  • HKMA’s cited table does not list a separate Voided Suit award. Confirm any different table convention.

What does missing a suit mean here?

The example contains Characters and Dots but no Bamboo. Honours are a separate category, so having a wind or dragon does not fill the missing numbered suit. This describes the tile mix, not proof of a complete win.

No automatic extra faan

The cited HKMA table does not list Voided Suit separately, and Street Corner awards no such item. Do not assume a bonus from a different mahjong variant applies here.

Our saved two-suit example is All Chows 1 + Concealed Hand 1 = 2. With a 3-faan minimum it cannot win on a discard. Self-draw raises it to 3; the absent suit adds nothing.

Two suits are not Half Flush

Half Flush requires exactly one numbered suit plus honours. Full Flush uses one numbered suit without honours. A two-suit hand qualifies for neither, even though a third suit is absent.

Read which item actually changes

Load the example and switch to self-draw. The breakdown gains Self-draw 1; it does not gain Voided Suit. A custom faan adjustment can record an agreed house change but does not make the calculator automatically detect a new pattern.

Win: discard · Seat: East · Round: East · Minimum: 3. Declared melds and special draw context are loaded with the hand.

With the saved win method, seat wind and round wind, this example is expected to score 2 final faan under sc_hk13_v1_2. The calculator also shows every contributing pattern and whether the hand reaches the selected minimum.

A few things to know

Does having only one suit earn both flush and voided-suit faan?

Not in our game. Check the actual Full Flush or Half Flush condition; no separate missing-suit award is added. Other tables must explicitly agree to any additional item.
