Start with these ideas

  • The Android listing describes offline single-player play; installation and ads use a connection.
  • Test a saved hand offline on the installed version before travelling.
  • Browser and app saves and flower settings differ.

What the Android listing says

The Google Play description lists offline single-player Hong Kong mahjong against computers. Install or update while connected, then check the version on your own phone before travelling. Downloading, updates, advertisements and related privacy services use a connection.

Offline play refers to the installed Android game. It does not mean that a fresh browser visit, Google Play download or every connected service will work without internet.

A short pre-trip check

1. While connected, install or update through Google Play and open the app. Start a hand, make a normal draw and discard, then return to the lobby so you can locate the continue option.

2. Enable flight mode and check that Wi-Fi and mobile data are both off; Wi-Fi can be turned back on independently. Reopen the app and resume the saved hand. Confirm that the table appears and your turn can continue.

3. When you are ready to end that test hand, also check starting a new hand while still offline. Test both starting and resuming; success with one does not establish the other. Reconnect to handle downloads or installation problems before departure.

Your save stays on that device

The app and each browser keep separate local saves. A browser hand does not move into Android when you install the app. Clearing app data or uninstalling may remove local progress; do not do either as a first troubleshooting step when you want to keep a game.

If Continue is missing, first check that you opened the same app on the same device. For the website, also check the browser and profile. There is no cross-device cloud-save recovery promised here.

The website has different requirements

The website needs to load its pages and game assets over a connection. An already open table is not a promise that a fresh offline launch will work. For an offline session, use the installed Android app and do the pre-trip check above.

The checked Play listing describes 136 tiles without flowers, while this website’s game enables flowers. Both describe a 3-faan standard minimum and an 8-faan cap. Check the installed app’s Rules screen for its own version; do not assume every website setting transfers.

A few things to know

Does a previously loaded website count as an offline installation?

No. Cached browser files may not be complete or retained. For an offline session, use the installed Android app and test both starting and resuming with connections off.

What should I check if Continue is missing?

Check the app, device and whether the hand had already finished. Browser saves belong to the same browser profile. Avoid clearing data or reinstalling while trying to preserve progress; contact support with the version and steps if the issue persists.

Will website flowers and learning progress transfer to the app?

No. The browser and app keep separate local progress and rules. The checked Android listing describes no-flower play; the browser table uses flowers.
