Start with these ideas
- Use only winds and dragons, arranged as four sets and a pair in our game.
- HKMA calls this All Honours / 全番子 and lists 10 faan; our limit is 8.
Reference values below follow the Hong Kong Mahjong Association (HKMA) rules. Worked calculator examples use our browser game’s house rules; check the differences before comparing results.
What counts as an honour tile?
East, South, West, North, Red Dragon, Green Dragon and White Dragon are honours. All Honours excludes every numbered tile. Honours cannot form Chows, so our standard winning structure uses Pungs or Kongs and a pair.
The example has East, South, Red and Green Pungs, with West as the pair. It is complete without needing all seven honour types.
A limit hand, not a stack of honour bonuses
HKMA lists the all-honour pattern as a 10-faan limit under 全番子. Our game returns 8 for the saved hand. Do not transfer that house cap to another table.
Our limit result replaces All Pungs, dragon groups, seat and round wind, Concealed Hand and self-draw. If another house limit pattern also appears, the total remains 8 rather than adding the limits together.
Fourteen honours still need a winning shape
Random honours are not enough. Seven different honour pairs do not form a supported Seven Pairs win in our game. Neither an honour pair nor mixed Red–Green–White singles can be counted as a Pung.
Keep the shape while changing the tile family
Replace the West pair with a pair of 5 Dots. The hand stays complete but loses All Honours. The house ordinary breakdown becomes All Pungs 3 + Half Flush 3 + two dragon groups 2 + Concealed Hand 1 + both East wind bonuses 2 = 11 before the 8-faan cap. Read the breakdown, since the final 8 alone hides the change.

A hand to try
Win: discard · Seat: East · Round: East · Minimum: 3. Declared melds and special draw context are loaded with the hand.
With the saved win method, seat wind and round wind, this example is expected to score 8 final faan under sc_hk13_v1_2. The calculator also shows every contributing pattern and whether the hand reaches the selected minimum.

A few things to know
Does All Honours also need All Pungs?
Our game requires the four-set-and-pair structure, which means Pungs or Kongs because honours cannot form sequences. Once All Honours qualifies, however, its limit replaces the separate All Pungs award.
