Start with these ideas
- The final normal wall draw must complete your own hand in our game.
- The saved house example totals 4: All Chows, Concealed Hand, Self-draw and Last Draw.
Reference values below follow the Hong Kong Mahjong Association (HKMA) rules. Worked calculator examples use our browser game’s house rules; check the differences before comparing results.
What counts as the last-tile self-draw?
HKMA calls the last-wall-tile self-draw 海底撈月 and lists it at 1 faan. Our game’s Last Draw item applies when the final normal wall tile completes your hand as a self-draw. A Kong replacement is a different draw source.
The same fourteen tiles can qualify or not qualify depending on when and how the winning tile was drawn. The hand diagram alone cannot prove the event.
Count self-draw and the event separately
For the saved house example, All Chows 1 + Concealed Hand 1 + Self-draw 1 + Last Draw 1 = 4. The concealed bonus follows our house rules; HKMA grants Concealed Hand only under its no-flower rules.
Our ordinary total stops at 8. A house limit hand receives its limit instead, without another Last Draw or Self-draw addition.
Few tiles left is not the final tile
There must actually be a final normal draw. If another player draws that tile and you win on their following discard, the event is Last Discard in our game, not your own Last Draw.
Keep the tiles, change the circumstance
Load the example, then change the circumstance from Last normal wall tile to Normal win. The house result drops from 4 to 3 while self-draw remains selected. The tool trusts the circumstance you provide; it has no wall history to verify.

A few things to know
Can I claim Last Draw on another player’s discard?
No. Last Draw requires your self-draw. In our game the following final discard has its own Last Discard condition and does not add Self-draw.
